About me
Zephyr Rankin (he/they) is the Marketing and Communications Librarian at Waters Library at East Texas A&M University. After time at public libraries, Zephyr received his MLS from Emporia State University in 2022 and made the move to academia. While at East Texas A&M, he began working with other faculty and staff to create a support group for transgender students and advocate for trans student rights. Together with his colleague A.P. Anderson, Zephyr conceptualized Trans in the Stacks, an overarching study of how libraries can attract and serve transgender patrons, with an emphasis on tailoring those goals to what each specific library can accomplish.
