Librarian by Day, Martial Artist by Night
My mission is to equip people to live meaningful lives.
I do this at Carleton College by acquiring materials for the library to empower the faculty and students in their teaching and learning, and coordinating library outreach programs in order to communicate what we have to offer the community.
While I've been at Carleton since 2008, I just started the Outreach portion of my job in July. I'm a geek for strategies and planning and personal growth and success, and am having a blast with this work.
My marketing background comes from owning a martial arts school since 2015. I run the weekly classes in my town, as well as lead the regional association of schools in this style in Minnesota. We host three regional training seminars and organize teams for out of state tournaments. Keyword: swords.
