Tanner Lewey, the Social Media Editor & Strategist at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), oversees the university’s flagship and chancellor social media accounts and outreach to social managers across campus. Previously, she was an academic outreach librarian in Maryland (McDaniel College) and California (California State University, Stanislaus) and solo-managed each library’s social media. Through these roles, she has developed various social media strategies and tricks that can be applied to any library type or size. Tanner earned her MSLIS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in English and History from Northwest Missouri State University.
