About me
I am an award-winning marketing communications professional who delivers results. As a practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience, I focus on using data-driven integrated marketing communication strategies to inform, offer solutions, provide educational opportunities and create awareness for clients I support. Building relationships and identifying storytelling opportunities are my strengths. I have experience addressing ongoing crisis communication challenges, and have managed, planned, promoted and executed large-scale special and fundraising events. I have experience in overseeing creative/art direction, as well as brand management, website (re)design, content creation for print, web, social media, guerilla marketing, and magazine production. I have also provided on-camera media trainings to the leadership of the Reno Fire Department and others.
I am currently responsible for developing, planning and implementing the University Libraries (University of Nevada, Reno) marketing, public relations and communications strategies and initiatives. I design comprehensive communications campaigns to meet the Libraries' outreach, philanthropic, communications, marketing and promotional needs via a variety of tactics, venues and mediums.
I handle both internal and external communications for the organization.
Internally, I use communications strategies to target Libraries' faculty, staff and student workers keeping them informed of issues of importance. Across the University campus, I work to develop meaningful integrated marketing communications campaigns targeting Libraries' constituents - including students, faculty and instructors from all academic disciplines.
Externally, I have employed a variety of creative strategies to build awareness for the Libraries via a variety of public relations and marketing communications strategies that align with the both the Libraries' and University's strategic plan. The goal is always to grow awareness for the Libraries in order increase engagement and develop meaningful relationships with a variety of diverse constituents.
In my role, I have completed hundreds of strategic marketing communications projects averaging more than 35 projects annually. Most recently (March 2023 - October 2024) I was responsible for working with an interdisciplinary team from within the Libraries as well as the University administration to promote the University's Sesquicentennial. A multi-faceted campaign was designed and deployed to fulfill on this promise.
I have coordinated and art directed large scale photoshoots for the Libraries. I serve as a valued member of the Library Managers leadership team. I have managed large budgets and vendors, while meeting project deadlines and goals.
