Camayia Dantzler has been working at the Oak Park Public Library in Oak Park, IL for 14 years, while being in different roles along the way. Currently holding a role as Communications Specialist at OPPL since April, about six months into her new role. She provides digital and print communications support, and the marketing/promotions of library-led programs each month. Camayia likes to work on different projects, provide support to the library's Communication Team, and find new and innovative ways to promote the library and its services on social media. Collaborating with other managers/teams is what drives her to be the best person professionally. Camayia also assists in managing and promoting 'The Store', which is a online sales platform where we have library-branded merchandise where I fulfill orders and manage inventory periodically.

Outside of work she likes mystery/thriller novels, coloring books, and playing board games. This is her first time attending a conference that is specifically for library professionals in marketing & communications and she is excited to meet and connect with others!
